Some years ago I fed pork spare ribs and my big Lab, uh, enjoyed
them excessively and wound up some hours later with what you might
call a gastro-intestinal issue. He's a big weenie but even for him
his moans and whines and "oh no don't ever touch me there!"
sidesteps were a bit much so I took him into the clinic. After
seeing the x-rays, the vet said with some astonishment "there are
bones in his stomach," and I said that would make sense since he'd
had spare ribs yaddayadda and did she think it was pancreatitis.

She looked at the films again, poked him and prodded him and looked
at the bones and shook her head. No pancreatitis, just indigestion.

And that was that.

I am sure I was one of their first rawfeeding clients, if not the
first. But bless mah soul, she didn't let it make her crazy. So if
you got to tell, tell the truth. You just never know.

Patricia, the good news is that when you feed your dog Raw you won't have to see the vet very often....

?Maureen, who has a wonderful vet that supports and encourages raw...

Maureen- From your mouth to God's ears!!
My dog was diagnosed with Colitis today. I'm in the process of
researching it, but a 'bland diet' is the recomendation. I just can't
quit the raw. I have to find a way to incorporate it in such a way that
it doesn't aggravate the colitis.
I believe it's stress related. Not the raw food like the vet said.

I'll find a way to get on top of this one!
Thanx, Patricia
