Hi, Joanne!
Are you talking about 'dogs in elk'?
There were posts about it in raw chat;
http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/RawChat/message/13539
http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/RawChat/message/8640

I remembered that, and posted in raw feeding a few links I looked up;
http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfeeding/message/144551

I've spent some time Googling for links and images and have read the
original thread where the 'dogs in elk' story was posted, and the text
states that she didn't take pics. I was POSITIVE that I remembered seeing
pics of the little dogs peeking out of the ribcage covered in blood with
this story. I've since come to the conclusion that it was the description
itself that caused me to create the images in my mind where none actually
existed. lol

Why do people rave about this tripe business when wolves supposedly
don't eat stomach contents?

IMO, I would be more concerned that your puppy was getting too little
food rather than too much, just because puppies do grow so quickly and
need to be consuming a lot of calories in their first year. Also, rapid
growth is more of an issue with very large breeds who take 2 years to
fully mature. I say stick with three meals a day and don't start
worrying unless your pup appears chubby. The problem of too-quick
growth is probably more likely to happen on a diet of unnaturally high-
protein kibble. The raw diet is low protein (in comparison), high water
content and you can feed away without worry!

Hi Becky,
You can spend a fortune on books like I have or, hang around here for a while, read through the archives, etc and you will learn everything that you need to know about raw. I am still new here, so I am sure others will provide you with direct links on how to get started.
