Alicia,

Cost really depends on location and the sales you are lucky enough to
hit. I am from Calgary Alberta (any advice on better prices from
someone living in / around the area would be great :D)

From the stuff in my freezer:

whole chickens: To expensive for me, about $3-4/lb is the best i
found so far

Chicken organs: $1/lb (comes in a big mixed 30lb box)

pork shoulders: $1-1.50/lb good if you his the right sale at
superstore

beef ribs: Too much for me, never got then for the puppies

beef heart: From the Co-op group, they are purchased in bulk from a
butcher, we pay about $0.60/lb right now

some hamburger, if its on-sale-cheap (it often is): There is a sale
on gound beef at my superstore right now, $0.88/lb

I short I just watch for whatever I can get, but I really have a hard
time spending over $1/lb

-cheers,

Ross
