[rawfeeding] Re: hungry puppy
I'd definitely say switch to at least twice a day feedings. And it
seems like 2.5lbs is a lot of food for a pup who will one day be 80lbs
max. How are his stools? Does he look chunky or skinny? I'm having
some issues with figuring out how much to feed as well, I have a Newf
mix puppy that was a stray and I have no idea how big he'll be
(130lbs? 80lbs? quite a spread). I've been feeding him about 10% of
puppy weight since he's only 10weeks old, and I'm trying to adjust
from there. But my pup really needs to have at least two meals a day
otherwise his stools are really loose.
So, I'd say break up the food into at least two meals a day and see if
that helps. Also, keep an eye on the pup's waistline, you want to be
able to see the last two ribs. Don't let your pup turn into a rolly
polly! (=
