[rawfeeding] Re: Why gorge and fast?
Geiger used to eat like it was the last time he'd ever get offered
food when we started. He ate several small meals a day as a puppy,
and when he turned about 9 months, he started eating his days worth of
food in one sitting but still acted like he was starving the rest of
the day. Any time I walked near his freezer he would go bonkers. It
wasn't until I started feeding him gorge meals that he stopped acting
so hungry all the time. He still loves his food, but now he is more
kick back about eating. Sometimes he decides to eat three days worth
of food in one sitting, sometimes he only eats one day's worth. It
has also become much easier to maintain his weight feeding this way
because he pretty much does it for me. Now the puppy, that's another
story...
