My big Lab started limping at five months and my vet diagnosed it as
pano. When he was still limping at eight months the diagnosis was
changed to elbow dysplasia, both elbows. He's almost nine years old
now, been eating raw food for most of his life, still limps on his
left. I am sorry that your Reily has ED. A good raw diet with maybe
some supps won't cure him but it can help.

Meat is not the big issue, it's the bones. Every time you give him
meaty bones that include joints, you are giving him cartilage and
that's the source of natural glucosamine. Beef, pork, lamb, chicken,
turkey, rabbit--it doesn't matter--every single joint has cartilage.
Whenever you can when you are feeding meaty raw bones, feed jointed
bones.

Other sources are chicken and turkey feet and necks. You should also
consider fish body oil or salmon oil for the anti-inflammatory
properties; supplemental glucosamine sulfate plus MSM might also be
helpful.

Hope this helps.
