I quite agree with Sandy. So far as I know, and I've been on this
list through several moves since the turn of the century, green tripe
has never been identified as an essential menu item. It has always
been recommended as a useful body part, and although some people
really do rely heavily on it, it is not a perfect or magic food and
ought not be accorded any special privileges. As Sandy wrote, if you
got it, good. If you don't, no big deal.

To which I can only add "amen" and perhaps "boy howdy."

The best thing we can do for our dogs is feed whole prey. The worst
thing we can do for our dogs is assume a rigid disregard for anything
that isn't whole prey.

The worst thing we can do to the whole "emerging science" of raw
feeding is rigid ourselves into irrelevancy.
