[rawfeeding] Re: Stubborn Animals - update

Hi, Virginia!
Sounds like you have a good handle on things!
As per gorge 'n fast - if they're eating a lot at one meal, and
skipping the next - they are well on their way!
Gorge - real gorge, is offering BIG FOOD, a whole chicken or half
turkey or fresh ham - letting them eat their fill and walk away. Skip
the next couple of meals/days, then offer a snack or small meal for
the next couple of meals/days, until their interest in food returns.
I'd feed 'real food' for the first meal of a day then, if they are
eating a large meal and refuse the next offering, no nutrition lost.
As for the pup, if he's eating a large meal, and refusing the next
meal too, no worries! I'd always offer a second meal a day to him for
the next few months, tho'.
I'd plan on using the duck feet as a treat, not part of their diet,
and the pork hocks, too. Not much meat there, mostly skin, gristle and
bone.
An a big GOOD JOB for your cat!! : )
