[rawfeeding] Re: concerned about allergies

Welcome, and Congratulations for feeding raw!
Its a great idea to can the mush - not needed by your dogs and too
much work! lol
Might be a good idea, too, to move on to a new protein at this point,
variety over time and all that, ya know.
For your Basset pup, it sounds like contact dermatitis to me - not a
food allergy.
I would look at something in his environment that changed prior to the
appearance of the warm redness and chin sores. New shampoo, detergent,
floor/carpet cleaner? New car, something new at daycare, new bedding,
new slipcovers, lawn treatments? Could be as simple as grass cuttings
or you may need to do a deep search list and eliminate possible
causes. The key word here, I think, is contact, something he lies on
or near frequently.
