[rawfeeding] Re: Raw feeding is just a fad?

I loved the "Dr"s concern regarding bacteria like e.coli and
salmonella. Those of us that have been feeding raw for a while know
that our dogs handle it just fine and her line about those bacteria
coming out in the stool being a health hazzard just waiting to
happen? Give me a break. It is not like anyone picks up their dog's
poop with a bare hand. We all put our hand in the bag, pick up the
poop and slide the bag over it. We walk away with clean hands and if
the bag happened to have a hole in it we all run in and wash our hands
since who likes having dog poop on our hands. It is also not like any
of us eat our dog's poop. What a ignorant thing for her to say. The
one thing that did hit a point though is that there is no real
research on raw diet. I would never feed anything but raw and it is a
shame that there is no one to do actual research into the benefits of
a raw diet.
