Have you asked the meat guys at Food Lion about pulling stuff from
the back or about ordering stuff for you? I've done this at at least
3 different FL's around Va., and have always found them really easy
to work with. I've gotten them to sell whole unsliced oxtail, whole
heart by the package or the case, and have gotten them to stock
kidney when they seemed not to have it. They always give me a bit of
a funny look, but they don't ask why I want it, so I don't have to
worry about getting lectured. (Actually, the one in Charlottesville
did once ask if I was a medical student at UVA hospital, after I
ordered something like unsliced hocks or long pork feet. They said
med students sometimes want stuff like that to practice their stiches
on!)

Good luck!
