Alicia,
For our purposes, beef heart is muscle meat although it is very rich
meat and if fed in extremes can cause runny stools in some dogs. I
never feed a meal of exclusively beef heart. It is always in
addition to the regular meal similar to organs but in greater
quanity than organs. My Great Danes usually get a 1/2 pound of
heart each mixed in a regular meal 2 or 3 times a week.
