Depends on the dog and what the dog ate, at the least. After a
really big meal (perhaps more than 3% of body weight) I'd imagine
you'd want to wait at least an hour if not more. After a small meal,
say the sort of meal you might feed if you were feeding two meals a
day, an hour ought to do it and maybe less than an hour would be
sufficient.

I fed one of my dogs a baby goat today. Dog weighs maybe 65 pounds,
goat probably weighed seven or eight pounds (I didn't weigh it).
That's over 10% body weight. My dog has been sacked out for two
hours now and I don't expect to hear much from her until morning. We
won't likely be doing anything vigorous then either.

I suggest if you know you've got vigorous exercise in your plans to
arrange the meals accordingly. Feed after the exercise, or feed a
small meal prior and a larger meal later; feed a smaller meal that
day and a larger meal the following day. There are many ways to feed
so there's really no need to stuck between a good meal and a good run.
