[rawfeeding] New at this... Gizzards?
Hi there. Vanessa here. My husband and I just started raw feeding our
Lab mix and our Beagle yesterday. My husband did some shopping and
came home with gizzards and turkey necks. We first tired the gizzards,
but the dogs just sniffed them and walked away. Next we cut one turkey
neck in half and put the pieces in their dishes. Our lab mix took it
into the yard and ate it happily. The Beagle (how's only 9 months old
and will gladly eat ANYTHING) sniffed it, looked up at me as if to
say "You expect me to eat this?", walked away and did not return to
it. Is there something else I should try with her to get her used to
raw food? Should we be giving them gizzards at all? Also, how many
times a day should we be feeding them? Thanks!
